DISTRICT BIKANER MAP

Bikaner is in the heart of the Thar Desert. The town, which is on the ancient routes linking seaports in Gujarat with northern India and central Asia was founded by a Rathore prince Bika. The city is famous for its architecture like Junagadh fort, Jain temples and Lalgarh palace. Other places of interest with in the district are Deshnok for its Karni Mata temple, Gajner - a wildlife reserve, Kolayat for its marble temples. Bikaner has a production of lignite and different types of clay.
